HOW TO CARE FOR LUCKY BAMBOO

Low to medium light
Temperatures between 60 to 80 degrees F
Arrangements in water only: use 1.5 to 2 inches of water
Arrangements in ceramic vase with stones: water all the way to the top of the visible water lever.
Change water in arrangement at least every three weeks
Put arrangement under water faucet, let water over flow, hold and tilt your container to let water drain completely.  Replace water from a spring water bottle or regular faucet water if not highly chlorinated.
To get rid of chorine in faucet water, collect it in a container and leave overnight without a lid.

What can kill lucky bamboo?
Lack of water
Planting the stems in dirt
Cutting the stems/stalks
Bacteria in the water (from dust in the environment)
Highly chlorinated water
High exposure to sunlight
Complete darkness
Or, because all live things eventually die

Should lucky bamboo be fertilized?
Fertilizer can be use to help the plant stay green and healthy and helps it transition seasons (in areas with pronounced season changes).

We recommend Green Green - a specially formulated fertilizer for lucky bamboo.  You can find Green Green in any lucky bamboo supplier store.  Dilute the 36ml contents of the bottle into a full gallon of water.  Use the fertilizer water to replenish the water in your lucky bamboo arrangements every three weeks when changing the water.
